Truro
With just
1,800 year-round residents but one of the largest towns on the
Cape, this undeveloped gem has Cape Cod National Seashore
beaches as well as hiking and biking trails. Don’t expect any
fast-food restaurants or strip malls here—the only real
development is small motels and cottages that line the shore,
mixed in with residential homes. Cape Cod Light, also known as
Highland Light, was built in 1798 and is located on the Highland
Golf Links, one of the countries’ oldest courses. Also check out the tiny Truro Vineyards.
