Provincetown
Located at
the tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown is one of the most unique
towns in the country—maybe even the world. The diversity and
toleration of P-town is unimaginable; there are gays and
lesbians, artists and writers, tourists and locals—all of whom
live in harmony at the tip of the continent. Provincetown offers
a little bit of everything for everyone: there are tee-shirt
shops, beaches, biking trails, art galleries, tattoo parlors,
numerous cafes and restaurants, off-road dune tours, and some of
the best salt-water taffy around. The famous Commercial Street
is the hub of activity. Here, hundreds of shops and restaurants
are enjoyed by tourists who also enjoy people-watching. The
Provincetown Portuguese Bakery makes great malasadas and Cabot’s
candies of Cape Cod produces in excess of 30 flavors of
scrumptious saltwater taffy. P-town also boasts some great
whale-watching, so don’t miss out on observing these gargantuan
creatures on a beautiful summer day. The Pilgrim Monument and
Provincetown Museum is 252 feet high, and at the top you’ll
discover a breathtaking view of P’town. There are great dining
choices in Provincetown as well as numerous lodging options.
