Eastham

          Although Eastham lacks a commercial appeal and should be looked over by the gourmets in your family, it is noted for being the “Gateway to the National Seashore.” Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach are two of the best beaches on Cape Cod, and are located bordering the Atlantic on the National Seashore. Eastham has salt marshes, open ocean, protected bays, and freshwater ponds. There are great trails for walking and hiking, such as the Fort Hill Trail and the Nauset Marsh hiking trails. Be sure to stop in at the Salt Pond Visitor Center to gain valuable information on the National Seashore. Check out Nauset Light and the Three Sisters Lighthouses, or bike along the Nauset Bike Trail.
