Chatham

This refined and picturesque town is located at the tip of the elbow of Cape Cod, and has beaches, shops, and distinctively Cape Cod architecture. With an entire 65 miles of shoreline, Chatham offers a diverse array of beaches for any type of beachgoer, and the large homes bordering the sea are tidy and elegant. Tourists are attracted to the upscale shops and restaurants located on Main Street. Due to the massive crowds that come to Main Street during the summer, your best bet is to travel the street by foot. The Monomy National Wildlife Refuge on North and South Monomy Islands is noted for its bird species and strict limits on human visitation.
