Old Indian Meeting House

Meeting House Road (off of Route 28)

The old church and meetinghouse is still used today for the town tribe’s meetings and also plays host to Wampanoag religious ceremonies. 

Old Indian Burial Ground

This cemetery is located near the meetinghouse and dates back to the 1700’s.
 

Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge, South Cape Beach State Park

Jehu Pond Conservation Area 

There are miles of walking trails which travel through marshes where one may view ducks and turtles, cranberry bogs which have long been abandoned, and the trails continue to the South Cape Beach, with warm ocean water and plenty more sandy walking trails.
 

Mashpee River Woodlands

The woodlands feature walking trails through marshes and the forest and is perfect for recreational pursuits such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and bird watching.
