Falmouth Ballymeade is one of the Cape’s premier eighteen hole championship golf courses. This classy, up-scale course and country club offers all the amenities, in addition to well-maintained greens and fairways. The club, however, is not only for golfers, and hosts corporate events, golf outings, weddings, and caterings, while the Grille Room Restaurant can be enjoyed by golfers and the general public alike. Ballymeade’s facilities include Har-tru Tennis Courts, with tennis lessons and clinics available for all ages. Junior programs, golf lessons, and golf clinics are offered, too. The tee time reservation policy for non-members is one week in advance. Preferential starting times are reserved for golf members during the morning hours on weekends and holidays. The dress code policy is as follows: Men and women must wear collared shirts, and either golf shorts or pants. Jeans are not allowed on the golf course or practice area. Soft spikes are also required. Greens fees range from $40 during the week to $75 on weekends, with weekday prices rising to $60 with a cart rental. Carts are required on weekends. Afternoon rates (after 1:00) are cheaper, at $30 during the week and $40 on weekends, with or without a cart. Directions: From the Bourne Bridge, take Route 28 South for 8.5 miles. Take the exit for Route 151/North Falmouth/Mashpee. Take a right off the exit onto Route 151 East. After 0.7 mile, take a right onto Falmouth Woods Road. Ballymeade is a short distance down on the right.

(Hatchville) http://www.capecodcountryclub.com/ On the shores of the magnificent and serene Coonemessett Lake in Falmouth Massachusetts, Cape Cod Country Club offers an 18 hole championship golf course open to the general public. This golf course was laid out with an interesting variety of undulating fairways and subtly sloped greens wandering through a landscape with charming vistas of lakes and woods. The layout is wonderfully enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels. Home of 3 USGA Massachusetts Opens and the annual host of the Cape Cod Senior Open golf tournament, Cape Cod Country Club is proud to be always open to the public. Though lacking a driving range, the course does provide a chipping and putting green, restaurant, and snack bar. Greens fees are $56 for 18 holes in the summer, with a discount at $32 dollars after 2 P.M. Carts are $15.75 per rider. Directions: Bourne Bridge follow the rotary to Route 28 South. Continue on 28 for 7 miles. Exit at Route 151 exit. Turn right onto 151. After 2¼ miles turn right onto Ranch Road. Follow Ranch Road to the end, then turn left onto Boxberry Hill Road. The golf course entrance is on the right.

FCC is a challenging 27-hole year-round public course not far from beaches, cranberries and all that is Cape Cod. Walk or ride the championship 18 hole, par 72 course, or enjoy the 9 hole, par 37 "Talon" course. Flat terrain, lush fairways and immaculate greens will bring out the best in your game. Sprays of beach grass garnish the bunkers at the 12th hole while a majestic pair of ospreys patrol the water from their nest on the 10th hole. Greens fees are $40 during the week and $50 for weekends and holidays. Carts are $10. Tee times can be reserved 14 days in advance. Only soft spikes are permitted. Directions: Follow Route 495 to the Bourne Bridge (from off Cape). After the bridge, take Rt 28 South to the Rt 151 exit. Take Route 151 going East and go 3.3 miles to Sandwich Rd. Take a right onto Sandwich Rd. Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto Carriage Shop Rd. The Falmouth Country Club is located 1.25 miles on the right. Woodbriar Club

Gifford Street, Falmouth Lacking both a driving range and cart rentals, the Woodbriar Club is nonetheless a charming little golf retreat. The 9-hole course is a cheap alternative for golfers with a budget. Directions: From the Bourne Bridge, take Route 28 South to the first stoplight (approx. 18 miles). Turn left onto Jones Rd. and go to next stoplight. Turn left onto Gifford St.; the club is just up on the right.
