An
excellent course, the Captain’s Golf Course was rated as one of
the nation’s top five public courses in 2003. It features two
18-hole, par 72, championship courses, Port and Starboard. Two
putting greens, a driving range, and a restaurant with all the
amenities are also available. Greens fees are $62 in the summer,
dropping to $45 after 2 P.M. and a twilight rate of $30 after 4
P.M. Carts are $16 per rider. Tee times are advised two days in
advance, and only soft spikes are permitted.
Directions:
Take Route 6 East to exit 11. At the end of the ramp, turn right
onto Route 137. Follow Route 137 for 1.2 miles to Freemans Way.
Turn right onto Freemans Way for 1.9 miles. Course is on the
right.
